Picture 1     This photo shows a typical "IBM" "PC" type power supply, with connectors with red, black, black, and yellow wires. The red is usually +5 volts, the blacks are grounds, and the yellow is +12 volts. The interface on the parallel port needs the +5 volts, and the ground. This "OLD" style of power supply is called an " AT " supply, and has a big, black, 110 Volt ON/OFF switch , shown here on the left, beside two white connectors that go beside each other to the Motherboard. The 5 white connectors under the power supply go to the floppies and harddrives.
